“Umm excuse me, what?”

 The panic in my chest tightened like a noose. My cheeks started to flame red; I could feel the heat radiating off of them.

I shouldn’t have shared, what was I thinking?! I didn’t read the room. I should have stopped talking. 

 “Oh my God Mariah, I don’t think I took a single breath the entire time you spoke.

It was like you were reading the crystals like they were my birth chart; that was insane!”

 Oh wait, what? They liked it? They don’t think I’m crazy! Holy shit, I’m not wrong. Okay, okay. This is cool.

I listened to their excited chatter after my monologue of intuitive crystal information, my panic eased and the vice around my chest loosened. I could breathe again.

I spent hours curating crystals and their meanings for girls night in where we shared our love for all things magical.

I chose to weave crystals together to create a beautiful story we could use to gather intuitive insights and hit their goals more quickly.

I’d been doing this for myself but I’d never shared these stories with anyone else.

I never shared because the things I knew about crystals weren’t found in books.

Yes, these were things I could see and feel were aligned with what I found in books, but went beyond anything I’d ever read before.

To share what I intuitively knew about crystals felt like I was exposing a deep family secret, that would best be left hidden.

 Would they think I was crazy or had lost my mind?

 Would anything I said resonate?

 Self-doubt plagued me but somehow, I shared my crystal stories anyway that night and so, Mariah’s Crystal Library was born.
